I used it for several weeks on a recent vacation in Europe. It worked extremely well and was light enough to bring with for several overnight trips.

I bought this to take on my trip to China. It worked perfect there and here...and I still use it daily. So glad that I bought this!
Perfect Solution for International Travel

I usually use a CHI flat iron but I know that when traveling a converter cannot handle curling irons, flat irons, etc., they just fry up. I travel internationally quite a bit for business and usually do the hair dryer and brush routine but always look like I'm having a bad hair day. I LOVE this flat ion-it performs BETTER than my CHI!! The Solia Flat Iron has a temperature setting so you can adjust the temp to your hair. I just came back from Germany and could plug it it (with an adaptor) and it did not smoke, burn, or smell in any way. My hair stayed straight throught the snow and rain. The directions that came with the flat iron do not pertain to this particular model and I was a little confused so I contacted Solia (not Folica) directly and they never responded to my questions and concerns but the flat iron worked perfectly and I am very happy with it.
Worked fine in France & Belgium

I purchased this for a recent trip to Belgium & France. The flat iron worked fine & seemed to get plenty hot. Yes, it comes with bigger than expected converter box which makes it kind of heavy & bulky for travel. I was going to buy a flat iron in Belgium but knew I was short on time so this was my best option. I like that it came with the attachment to use in the car, a good idea for sure.

I purchased this flat iron to take on a trip to China and it worked just fine. I have very thick natural curly hair and have straightened my hair for some time now. My original flat iron would not work in China (wrong voltage) so I purchased the Solia Universal Dual Voltage one to take on the trip. Works very well, but wish the iron itself was a little wider and larger in general...takes longer to do my hair than my other flat iron. Also it could use to close a bit tighter when you squeeze it on your hair, but it works well enough. I was very satisfied with the end result and had no problems with the voltage converter....it even comes with a plug to convert the prongs too. I would definitely recommend this item especially if you travel internationationally like I do.

This product saved me while we were in Portugal and Spain. It heated up fast enough and straightened my hair as good as the CHI at home. The price was comparable and worth it.

I purchased this product to use during my trip to China. It worked great, and I still use it daily. My daughter who has very thick wavy hair said it does not get hot enough for her, but it has a 450 degree setting. Maybe she just didn't wait long enough for it to reach that temp.

You will not have a bad hair day when traveling out of the country if you have this tool along. Worked great on 220 Voltage!
Solia Universal Dual Voltage

At last, I found this Universal Dual Voltage for traveler. Feel as smooth as HAI and CHI that I had at home, plus dual voltage for international usage, plus universal plug....what more can you ask for. Downside is, unlike its sister products, this highend baby made in China.
