I have been straightening my hair for about nine years, so needless to say I've had plenty of experience with flat irons. I've been through a bunch of them, the last being a very disappointing model from TIGI which lasted only a couple months. I decided to buy the Chi because I've heard such great things about it from my hair stylist, and so far it's working wonderfully. It heats up in seconds and I can get my hair from wavy and fluffy to straight and smooth very quickly. This is saying a lot, too -- I have very thick hair that tends to do whatever it pleases! Also, the price was very good... the only reason I never bought one before was because I could only find them sold for $100+. We'll see how it stands up to my daily abuse, but I definitely would recommend this iron!

I love this 1" iron. It is made of the best quality--easy to use and hold onto. I have never used an iron that is this nice. If you want a quality iron that will last forever, it is worth it to invest the money.

well after reading the reviews i was pretty hesistant to get a CHI, but now that i have one i love it. i live where the humidity is super high and for the most part my hair stays straight. It doesnt dull out my hair like cheaper straighteners have, and honestly it works better for me than the Sedu (i have one). The only complaint i have is that it snags on my hair, and there are always a few strands ripped out. I also have heard of it breaking really easily so im always very delicate with mine.

the chi original is the best out there.it leaves hair soft and silky. i live in texas and the humidity is horribleeeee. but with the chi i dont have one frizzy hair day. the chi is amazing. if you've thought about buying one but are to hesitant...go BUY IT. and the price of them are cheap right now so do it while it's cheap.i absolutely LOVE it. plus it has a warranty on it so there's nothin to worry about.

You don't need to spend more money on any other chi model, or any other brand... This one is the best and gets the job done perfectly!

I love my CHI! It works wonders on my hair... I will never go anywhere without it. Great product! The prices on this website or as low as you will find them promise... I have looked at other places and at one particular salon they were charging $110.00 more for the same thing here!

I love this straightener (and so does my daughter)! I have wavy hair that turns into frizz by the end of the day. This straightener keeps my hair straight all day long...hopefully it will hold up to the midwest humidity this summer. I have faith.

I am so glad I spent the extra money. This has cut my "getting ready" time in half. I used to have to go through my hair twice with my old flat iron. Once with my Chi and my hair is perfect!

I have long course wavy thick hair and i have found that the chi will straighten it perfectly. i really love my chi. when it comes to straightening my hair i wouldn't use anything else
