basically, the amplified rocks and is worth the extra 5 or so bucks. I got the purple haze amplified and it stayed in for a very long time and i still get asked if i had just dyed it. and the most it faded was to a bright pink color, which is still awesome. I suggest buying this product.

I've been dying my hair for 15+ years. I started with Manic Panic and moved over to Special Effects for the last 6 years. I got the Shocking Blue here as a present and decided to give it a try. I was skeptical when it rinsed out in a few minutes (I'm used to 20 minutes or more - uhg!). About four weeks later a friend was looking at my hair and asked if I had just dyed it. Because everyone was used to bright blue for 2 weeks, and then weird half-blue, half-brown for a month before I bothered to re-dye. But it stayed in FOREVER, with almost no pre-bleaching.

Manic panic has been the standard for Wicked hair dyeing for 2 decades now. Recently, they've increased the viscosity (making it easier to apply) and upped the dye level for more vibrant colors.

Manic Panic is NOT just for kids. I'm 42. I have red/brown dyed hair. The permanent dyes I use are supposed to stay red, but anyone who has ever dyed their hair red will tell you, it FADES, and if you are grey, it really fades. I use Manic Panic to bring life back to my fading red. I use Pillar Box red and it really brings the life back into my hair. I love it!! ~~~Sharon
