With three women in the house who like to get their eyebrows waxed, I decided it was time to do it myself. I did some web searching for a kit. Folica seemed to be the one site that had a variety of waxing products. I decided on the Satin Smooth Waxing Starter Kit. The price was right and the product seemed to be what I was looking for. I read the reviews and decided to go ahead with the purchase and boy, am I glad I did. I ordered this product on the 16th in the evening. I received the order on the 20th in the morning. Tonight I fired it up and and gave it a whirl. I did my daughters brows and mine. I felt like a pro. It was sooo easy to use and it worked like a champ! I would recommend this product 100%.

This is a great product for the price it is offered at. I would recomened getting extra waxing strips because they go fast. Heating up the wax takes a good hour.

this kit is good. i like it .. it is the 1st on i have ever got so .. so fiar so good. the heter is slow it took 2 hours to git hot .. but it worked good .. i like this item .. if i wuz you i would buy it ..

I decided to save a few bucks from going to the salon and start doing at home waxing. I am a beginner and found this product easy to use. I am very pleased with the wax but it did take about an hour to get the wax to the right consistancy. I would also advise in purchasing extra waxing strips with this kit.
Professionals vs Amateurs

I am a licensed esthetician and totally agree with Design Diva. If you are going to use professional products, not ones you can get at the drug store, you MUST know what you are doing. I have been using this product for years and swear by it. Have had rave reviews from clients with absolutely no after effects. I do use a post-waxing aloe skin conditionin product which makes all the difference.

okay ladies, here's my story. years ago i had a great home waxing kit that was discontinued. so for a few years I schlepped to professional waxers in different cities as i moved for work, etc. it was a hit or miss endeavor, sometimes i'd find a good waxer, other times not so much. after a recent professional mishap at an upscale salon (i was peeling skin off for a week, not pretty), i decided to purchase another home waxing kit. after a quick internet search i found folica and what they say is true, SPEEDY shipping. Better yet, great product! I will be hard-pressed to go to a pro again. It's not a matter of saving $$$, that's just a bonus, it's nice to be in control of my waxing experiences again!

After spending oodles of money on professional waxing, I decided that I would try it myself. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before deciding to try this kit. This kit is perfect for those who have experience being waxed (they know and understand the pain!) and want to try it themselves. Although I need to perfect my technique, the waxing went smoothly and without any incident. I even attempted my own Brazilian! The warmer is great - makes the waxing so easy. Also the products provided are good for skin preparation and recovery. I took the recommendations from other reviewers and purchased additional strips and applicators - great idea. I am so glad I made this purchase; in one use it paid for itself. Highly recommended!

This a a great kit. Good value for the money. Works well. The only thing missing are rings to put around the well so that it can catch the drips.

The shipping was speedy and Folica even sent the small pink bag as an added bonus. The wax takes a while to warm up but when it's done it works great. Keep in mind that you may have to purchase more wax strips.

My kit was delivered earlier today... after reading all the reviews, I knew it would take a while to melt the wax to the right consistency so I tore open the box and plugged the unit in asap! Five hours later, the waxing began... at first I was kind of slow and things were quite sticky/messy but I kept going... by the end, I had mastered the technique. Waxed between my eyebrows, upper lip, arms, and BIKINI! My leg hairs are not long enough to wax yet but now I'm going to let them grow out. I hate to say this but people who give this a bad rating are just not good at waxing, period. It's not the kit, it's them. This has payed for itself within its FIRST use... if that alone is not deserving of 5 stars, I don't know what is. And as always, kudos for Folica for their excellent service!
