These products are all awesome! I had a Maxius straightener before the solia and I thought it was great until my dog went running through the house with it and broke it! So I was on a search for a great but affordable product. I came across the solia on folica and saw great reviews about it. I also was in need of a new hair dryer since my conair wasn't working so great anymore. The solia is ten times better. It gets very hot but doesn't pull or damage my hair half as bad as any chi or maxius. It glides very smoothly. I use a conditioning treatment on my hair once or twice a week to rebuild strength and that along with the Solia I have seen dramatic results in a little over a week now and have gotten many compliments on my hairs health and shine. The hairdryer gets very hot. I start out on the highest temp. then put it on medium heat as my hair gets halfway done and then use a burst of cool air to set and to cool me down. Both products are awesome. My mother has extremely curly hair and is very careful about the products she uses and I converted her in just one straightening session and blowdry. I have used top of the line to bottom of the line products in beauty school and so far these take the reigns!

I finally dove in and bought myself a quality blow dryer and flat iron. I had used cheap ones in the past, but this one is awesome! Flat iron heats up in no time, and does the job perfectly. I am very pleased with the blow dryer too. My daughter has used it as well, and she has curlier hair than me. She said it was pretty great and left her hair shiny and smooth. Great product!

I wanted to buy my mom a Solia straightener for Christmas this year and I came across the package deal for $99! I needed a new hair dyer so I kept that for myself and gave her the straightener, pad and spray. The Hairdryer works amazingly on my long thick hair... dries so much faster than before! But keep a brush handy if you have a long hair because the power will cause tangles. As for my mom she LOVES the straightener. I did her hair for the first time on Christmas morning after she opened it and what a difference it made! She has crazy frizzy hair and the second highest temp just calmed the storm but still left the volume for her! Def. a good buy! Can't go wrong!! :)

This was one of my xmas presents from my boyfriend, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. The drier is powerful and with it's wide aray of settings, you're blowdried, set and finished in no time. The flat iron is cute with it's blue plate design and is on par with the other higher end straighteners I've tried. It heats up in a jiffy, and with adjustable temperature control up to 450, there's a setting for everyone, even those of us with stubborn hair. No pulling or tugging of the hair, a nice smooth glide through. The heat resistant pad/pouch is a nice lil thing to have thrown in, comes in handy, I can lay my flatiron down for a second without any fear of it slipping or burning any surface. And the spray is a nice add on as well. Great combo, works fantastic, if you're in the market for a hair drier and a flat iron, I'd suggest nabbing this duo!

I bought this for my girlfriend for Christmas. She had a Chi that was going bad(swithc failed and I soldered it to get it working again). She loved her Chi. I decided after reading a couple reviews to go out on a limb and purchase this combo because her hair dryer also failed a few weeks before Christmas. She was sceptical since it wasn't her beloved Chi. I was telling her the features of the straightner and she seemed to be more impressed(maybe because I did some research on the units before I purchased one?) She tried it out that day and has loved it!! The hair dryer she said work better than the one she had before. She is very happy with both products! I am happy that I didn't have to spend $200+ to get her a Chi and some other expensive hair dryer. She ended up getting more for Christmas because of that.
Well worth it! I'd give 4.5 stars if it were an option

So I got this after my Maxiglide hair straightener went kaput. I wanted a new hair dryer as well, so I went with this set after stumbling upon solia while researching the chi. I've had the products since Christmas and I love them! There are a few minor details I wish were different. 1. The hair dryer is a bit heavy which I thought to be odd when I first started using it. It's not a nuisance enough to not get this hair dryer, but it can become a bit uncomfortable holding it after a little while. 2. The buttons are in a bit of an awkward position that could be hit and switched rather easily making you go from one setting to another. 3. The hair dryer, now this is both a pro and con, can get AMAZINGLY hot, especially on the highest setting. It gives quite a burn! Not even my old dryer came CLOSE to how hot this thing can get! So be careful when drying close to the roots and around the ears. On the flip side, this hair dryer dry's FAST! Really fast, and it doesnt leave my hair frizzy. 4. The straightener's on/off button is located a bit too close to the hot plates. Just be careful when turning it off because you could get a nasty burn if you touch those plates! K, enough about the bad... the good! Aside from dryer your hair super duper fast and not leaving it frizzy both the dryer and straightener feel as if they are made of excellent quality and durable and will not break easily. Even the chords are very durable so they wont rip if you tug or pull. neither of the products fry or damage your hair (like my maxiglide did, i could smell my hair burning). Your hair wont get caught or ripped off by the straightener. It glides down smooth and leaves the hair smooth and the results are salon quality. With my old straightener, it took my 30 minutes to do my whole head, with this this, I just fly through. Whats great is that it has temp. settings so it will let you control how hot you want it. The hotter the setting, the smoother/faster it will straighten hair. I also like the fact that I could touch my hair right afterwards and its not really hot. I dont even use product in my hair anymore, before or after as I did with my old dryer/straightener.
