I was reading other peoples reviews.. and I really think it depends on peoples hair. I love this straightner. My friend has the skinnier one but since my hair is thicker I wanted the thicker one. My other friend comes over all the time just to use my straightner. Everyone at school tells her that her hair looks shinnier when she uses it. So she will be buying one as soon as she gets her paycheck. But I definitly recommend it. I think you also have to know how to use a straightner too. =]

Well, I just had my 8th grade dance and decided i wanted to have my hair straightened. I wasn't going to do anything too big, so I told the hair stylist to give me pretty, nice, soft, and straight hair. She described it as china doll hair, which is basically what I wanted. She used the BaByliss Pro, and I was amazed.!!! I was soo happy, and had gotten a myriad of compliments at my dance. It was amazing, and I'm off to buy it this week since I just got my graduation money :]

I got this iron about 6 months ago i have to say it works great!! The suede started peeling off a little but the read coating is just as good as new! I works awesome and straightens my hair with 5 minutes. Also, unlike my friends $200 iron, it doesn't get your hair drop dead straight. Instead the heat soften your hair so it just naturally falls straight and flows with your face. If u do want your hair super straight you have to go over your hair a couple times though! Overall a great straightner...highly recommended!!

i have heavy thick hair and the babyliss pro 1 1/2 iron worked wonders for me. it made my hair fell so lite straight and oh so shiney i just love it !!! diffently worth the money. great Buy!!!

I just got this straightener today so I'll update later how it's been working out...but i put it on about a medium setting(I love how many stetings it has, a lot of choices so you make sure you don't burn your hair) because my hair's pretty much straight just very frizzy and dried out. I used this and it only took me about 5-10 minutes to get my whole head of hair done. It makes it very shiny and straight. I love it so far! But of course I've only used it once and I'm not sure if ceramic is going to chip off or it's going to break or anything. I'll keep yah updated.

I love the iron. I have read the other comments and I have to say that if you turn the iron down you won't burn you hair. Also if you pull it fast and use something that protects your hair it works great. I have red hair and we have dry hair but this iron along with products that protect your hair it works great. I love it!!! Everytime I use it I feel like I have just walked out of the salon.

I paid 149.99 Canadian for this iron. And my hair looks great. I use the highest setting. ( I am black so I definately need a hot iron). My hair is shiney and very soft. I use a flat iron smoothing spray from Matrix. I have no complaints about this iron.

Ok to those people who say they burnt their hair...turn the temperature down!! It's an EXCELLEnt straightener..works as well as my friends 200$ straightener (made by hairart which is also highly recommended...BUT this one is cheaper price- equal quality) and I spent 100$ on the babyliss tourmaline! It also works a million times better then the ceramic babyliss straightener and a billion times better then any conair or similar pieces of crap...trust me this is my fourth and most favourite straightener!! Anyways, i am in love with this straightener and I might even marry it hahaha!

My old straighner broke so I purchased this one at my local cosmetic store. I love love love this iron! My hair is course and frizzy and this iron makes my hair feel soft and it takes out all of the frizz, too! My daughter, who has thinner hair then I just uses it on a lower setting and she loves it, too. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new straighening iron. It makes your hair feel like you just walked out of your salon.
