Wish I'd had this in the 60's!

This is a FANTASTIC product. I only wish I had had one in the 60's when everyone cool had straight hair (not unlike now) and I was blessed with thick, coarse, curly, frizzy hair. Ugh, was that painful! But now, even though I am in my 50's (how did that happen???) I have the hair I always wanted. Thank you Solia! PS: I don't want be too hard on CHI. They make wonderful hair products that smell great and work perfectly with my Solia flat iron.

I bought this flat iron about a year and a half ago and it works great. It heats up in about a minute which isn't really any different from my old straightener. However, it gets much hotter and straightens my hair in less than half the time it used to take me. Within the past couple months though, it's been acting up..after straightening a section, it will take some time to reheat to the temperature setting. This can be incredibly frustrating especially when I'm getting ready in a hurry but I experienced the same problem after I had my Chi for a while (this one does a much better job than the Chi still)

I have just recently ordered my Solia flat iron and I love it! It does not pull my hair. It heats up fast too. I love my Solia! It was shipped out fast and I received it within 4-5 days. I would not trade it! I really got a great deal when I ordered mine. I received the flat iron, the heat proof pouch, and a straigtening set (which included a paddle brush). Alll this for $79.99 and that included free shipping! I will be ordering a hair dryer soon!

This is my first professional hair straightener and i LOVE it. have used my friend's chi before, but this one heats up quicker and has a longer warranty. definately worth the price, and gets my hair super straight

This is by far the best flat iron I have ever used. It heats up fast. It's light. I have thick wavy hair and I straightened my hair in about 15 minutes. I highly recommend this item. You will not be disappointed.

I absolutely fell in love with my Solia the first moment I got it. My hair is straight in some places and wavy in others and my Solia takes care of it all, I usually on;y have to go through with one pass. It doesn't leave my hair feeling burnt or smelling gross like my last flat iron did. This is by far the best iron I've ever had. They didn't send my heat-proof pouch with it though, but I called Folica and they immediately send me one off in the mail, so I'm not upset about it.

I was wavering about buying this flat iron or the Chi. I looked at the reviews, the longer warranty, the ability to return the item,and the better price, and chose the Solia. WOW, I love it. It works faster than the Chi with much better results.

I wavered between buying this flat iron or the chi. After reading reviews and noticing the longer warranty I chose the solia. Wow, may hair looks great, and I got a lot of compliments today!!! So, for less money, a longer warranty, and for a better job, chose Solia.

This flat iron is simply amazing. After reading all the reviews I decided on this one, since it seemed to be well-liked by everyone. I can now say I am a proud Solia owner! I got the hot pink version and it is adorable. I also love the free mat for my dresser top...no more burn marks! This iron gets HOT...I burned my fingers and scalp a few times before getting the hang of it, but then again, I was used to a really cheap Conair, so I can't fault the iron for my wrongdoings. I was very impressed with how fast the plates heated up, and I like the option to change the heat setting. My hair is layered and past my shoulders currently, and is very damaged from chronic hair dying and heat damage. It is also pretty thick and has moderate curls/frizz. My hair was STICK STRAIGHT after straightening with the Solia, something my hair never does. It also is sooooooooo soft, smooth, and shiny! My other iron would just fry my hair, leaving a poofy-straight dry mess. I LOVE THIS FLAT IRON!!!! Oh, and my before picture is from about a year ago, so my hair is now shorter and a different color, but the texture still gives you an accurate idea of the power of this iron.

I've had this flat iron for about a month now, but I wanted to hold off writing a review until I became familiar with how to use it properly. This iron is a nice step up from my old Conair straightener. Pros: really fast heat up time, doesn't pull hair, leaves my hair smooth and shiny. Cons: I have to glide the iron twice over each section and 3 times over some sections. Believe it or not, I didn't have to do this with my Conair flat iron. However, if I had to it would have fried my hair. With the Solia, I can afford to run it through my hair several times and it doesn't cause damage. Overall, this is the best flat iron I've owned so far, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a straightener that gets the job done!
