My mom bought me this straightener for me when i was a freshman in highschool,i graduated highschool a year ago and it just recently went on me. It lasted me just about 5 years and i really cant complain. I have really wavy hair, nad it worked perfectly. Although, within the first week of having it i dropped it and the plates broke. i got a new one shipped right away. SO the only thing i suggest is to not drop it. Other than that, I would recomend it!

This is the best flat iron i have ever had, topping Chis and Sedus...Ive had it for 2 years now...I have BIG hair...unmanagably frizzy and curly, but after using this straightner (it takes like 20 minutes for me), my hair is perfectly straight and stays all day (with a little hairspray). I also do not straighten my hair every day...this is HORRIBLE for your hair, no wonder so many of you have damaged hair...also use a protective product. You should take care of your straightner...if you drop it or neglect it, of course it will break...you also need to clean it regularly.

this straightener is the best ever!!! my hair dresser used it on me, and i asked what brand it was, and she said it got too hot too quickly 4 me!! (btw, thats a plus.)but wen she left, i looked at it and it said 'cricket' on it, and i decided i NEEDED it. but unfortunately im still begging my mom 2 buy it 4 me, since i dont have a credit card. i just dont understand Y it doesnt get the good reviews it deserves! ive tried the solia, conair, revlon, and chi, and this is BY FAR the best of them all. so save your time and wasted money buy buying this product, because you will not be let down!!!!! =) btw- my hairdresser has had it 4 like 5 yrs.

my sister got me this for my birthday. i loved it until i went out of town and my friend droped it and it craked. it still works just it chiped. i hate the chi's they dont work. i would defenetly get this over any thing else. :)

this straightenr is awesome! my hair is usually frizzy and wavy, but i started using sunsilk shampoo & conditioner and blow-drying my hair afterwards, and straightening it with this straightener, and it works AMAZINGLY! i def. recommend using/buying this product!

I have curly hair (not extreme but pretty curly) and I got this straightener and it works great! My hair is straight now! I use it all the time. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a cheap straightener! It takes only 5 minutes to heat up which is really good. It takes me about 20-45 minutes (depending on how my hair is that day) to get it really straight.

This straightener is great for my hair. My hair is thin enough and wavy. Obviously this isnt the straightener to use on thick curly hair.. if you dont use it right. You would be able to tell by looking at it. But if you use hair products to help, it works great. I straightened my friends natural poofy curly hair, and it worked fine. To all of you who think this straightener is awful, maybe its not for you. Some said it fried your hair, obviously it wasnt on the right temperature for your fine hair.. or maybe you dont need a straightener at all. If it " yanks " your hair out maybe try learning how to PROPERLY straighten your hair, brush through first maybe? And if the plates cracked down the middle, maybe its time to get a new one. Your usually supposed to update your hair products every year.. try doing something good for your hair.

i don't see how people can say this ISN'T good, unless you have extremly wirey hair. I've had this for 2 years and i love it. It has NEVER pulled my hair, broken it off, or made it fried. My hair does get a little frizzy if its humid out but other than that it looks great! Mine broke 3days ago so my mom went and bought me a chi. It was HORRIBLE the first time i used it it ripped my hair...Now i have like 1inch pieces sticking out everywhere from it. It worked terrible...So we returned and my mom ordered me another crazy straight....I can't wait until it comes in!

normally, i don't review anything. but this is different. i have had this straightener FOREVER. and it still works the same as it did the first day i got it. i have naturally wavy thick hair. and it turns my hair into sleek, pin straight, shiny hair. just like the kind you see on commercials. i love it! i would recommend it to anyone and everyone who has thick hair, like mine. =]

I got this flat iron a few months back and it is great!!I have had 4 previous ones and they all make my hair look dead, and my hair never held straight with the others.This one takes half the time to straighten.I would definetly recommend it!!
