Great moisturizing treatment! Reviewer: E Love from

This is a great moisturizing treatment - I was curious to see how this treatment would work in comparison to Chi's Infra Treatment and Nexxus Humectress (although the two are considered conditioner as opposed to a hair treatment). First, I used this treatment in conjunction with Deep Brilliance Hydration (shampoo). I applied a very generous amount to my hair, put on a shower cap, and left it in for about 10min (although it says it works in 5 min I left it in longer). It has a somewhat thick consistency and because I left it in for so long and I put so much in my hair (I always do that) I had to wash a little out of my hair to completely rinse it out. My hair was very soft and shiny!!! In comparison with the other two products, first Nexxus Humectress I would say hands down Deep Brilliance is better because it's made to use on ethnic/curly hair and gave me the perfect amount of moisture without weighing down my hair. Humectress, however left my hair moist but it didn't look as SHINY. Infra Treament did the reverse - it left my hair shiny but it felt DRY - I had more fly-away. I also switched to using CHI products because they are also specifically made to use with ceramic styling and straightening as opposed to the more traditional method (for african-american hair) of pressing with a hot comb or using a relaxer. Hot combs actually burned my hair (and sometimes my scalp and ears!!) and you have to use some type of grease or oil which weighed down my hair - plus pressing leaves the room kind of smokey (from using it with grease/oil) and smells like burned hair :-( I would definitely recommend Deep Brilliance Moisture Treatment for those who's hair needs extra "quench" of moisture in their hair.

This stuff is pretty great! my hair is shiny and soft. Pros- makes hair soft and manageable, makes hair super shiny Cons- almost too thick, it is pretty hard to distribute evenly through out your hair. And the smell is quite disqusting in my opinion. HOWEVER, im willing to endure that for the great results.
