It does take time, however, it does work if you know how to use it. READ the instruction and make sure that you have it on a low setting for your face. Great money saver, anything cheap takes time.
REALLY WORKS

I bought this machine bc it was a great price and had many positive reviews. It does take patience but it works and is so worth it. It doesn't hurt. It's more annoying than painful. Also the first machine I bought just stopped working shortly after I got it and folica sent me a new one. The only thing is that the needles do bend very easy so be careful. If you have unwanted hair that really bothers you, then you should try this for sure.

Hi, I have been using this for a while now. Spent ALOT on facial hair removal. Even laser which reuqired me to shave, once I couldnt afford laser anymore I was in a habit of shaving my face- not feminine and not effective! I used to do electrolysis beforehand but got fed up as I had to keep going back. Now, I am very happy with this product. The first stylet bent with me but I got a hang of it with the second one. Replacement ones cost 6 for 2, so its not too expensive. And the fact it runs on batteries is even better. I use it on dial 10 as I have thick facial hair due to the shaving. It has left a few marks, like electrolysis did anyway. But I am happy with it and do recommend for you to buy a magnifying mirror and use two hands. One to stretch the skin and the other to use the machine. VERY GREAT PRODUCT!!! LOVE IT!!! XX
Excellent Machine

I have used the machine once a week for a total of two years. Not a single hair in sight now. My legs are silky and smooth and no hairs have grown back for 3 years. These results are not immediate. I used to shave and wax which only stregthened the hair folicle. So when I began using this machine,I used the highest amount of power which in turn left red dots (which looked like scars) on my legs. Once those disappeared, the hair grew back. I was persistant and kept on using the machine once a week cleaning off any hairs that did grow back and I would wait for 8 beeps to sound before removing any hairs. If the hairs would still be too tough to remove, I would not force them out but instead repeated the process until the root would weaken and the hair was ready to be removed. Yes the machine does work, however I would suggest to use a low number in case you don't want to see red dots but understand that it will not kill the hairs as quickly. My suggestion is use this machine in the winter. Kill the hairs and be consistant. Clean up anything that grows back immediately and you will see results. Understand that years of shaving and waxing has only stregthened the roots of the hair and treatment is not going to take place over night. The effort was all worth it now and I saved thousands of dollars. Silky, smooth legs are a woman's best friend. Thank you "Clean and Easy Electrolysis"

Works well if you follow directions. Discomfort is minimal and the hair-free results are worth it.
Perfect!!

I practiced inserting the needle into the hair folical a lot while reading the directions carefully before actually going through with it. let me tell you. Read the advice section...it helps so much! i am very satisfied. none have grown back so far. and i haven't had any scars yet. so i'm set. even though it takes a lot of concentration and feels gross when you prick the inside of the folical(it kind of hurts and isn't comfortable). i would suggest some sort of numbing cream or something. but it works! and that's all that matters!
Love it!

I love the thing and have recommended it to my sister and mother. You have to take your time with it and get a lighted maginfying mirror to help you. It doesn't hurt any worse than using tweezers. I have VERY sensitive skin and it has not left any permenant marks on my face unlike tweezing. I almost didn't buy it b/c of some of the other reviews but boy am I glad I did. It runs on a battery so you can take it anywhere. Start on a low setting and work your way up if you need to. You will love it don't be discouraged!! Go for it I did and have never been happier!!
Excellent for price

I agree totally with the reviewer who said bad reviews come from: 1-people who aren't truly committed to removing their unwanted hair. 2-people who aren't using the machine properly (i.e., they don't take the plastic off the batteries, they don't use the salt water solution) 3-people who don't have a bad enough problem to make it worth the time and effort. 4-people with a very low tolerance for pain/discomfort The truth is, it is difficult, time-consuming, and can be uncomfortable, or even painful to permanently remove hair that your body wants to keep---no matter what method you use! The difference between this machine & other methods is simple---$$$$! I tried professional electolysis with a very reputable company. I mostly liked the results, but did feel there was some regrowth. The problem is, after 3 sessions at $90/hr, I couldn't afford to pay my mortgage! I tried an older version of this product once a long time ago on my bikini line, but I didn't feel it worked well enough to be worth the time and effort. However, since I started sprouting chin hair and cannot afford professional treatments, I figured it was worth another try---this time really giving it a good effort! Well, I have...and it is working BETTER than the professional treatments! The downside: I have very stubborn hair, and have to treat each hair considerably longer than it says---45 seconds, usually twice. I know this is not the recommended usage, and I do get some pretty nasty-looking marks that last for a while as a result. However, my hair growth was always ingrown, and left me with scars anyway. At least these marks are healing, whereas the ingrowns were a CONSTANT problem. (just when one would start to heal, the new hair would start coming through again---I was getting "boils" all over my chin & neck from this---NOT PRETTY!) As for "scarring"---If you are dark-skinned and/or tend to be prone to hyper-pigmentation, you could definitely be left with scars by using my method of longer treatment times. On the other hand, if you are a healthy light-skinned person who usually heals well, the marks should be temporary, esp. if you use Vitamin C (internally AND topically), and drink lots of water to promote healing. As for pain---For me, some hairs are pinful, some are nothing at all, but most fall somewhere in between. I have been able to treat those stray female chest hairs with no pain at all, as well as some rogue belly hairs. Basically, the only ones that have been seriously painful were the ones that were ingrown, but they were painful already....and at least now they aren't coming back! The bottom line is---yes, it's time-consuming...no, it's not easy...and yes, it CAN be painful. You just have to figure out if its WORTH IT for you! Now, if I can just find somebody to help me do the hairs UNDER my chin!!! I'm just not that talented! ;-)
Fantastic!

I've tried professional electrolysis and laser hair removal, but wasn't happy with the results or the cost. Didn't have much confidence in this system, but thought what the heck. After a couple of tries I found this to be easy to use, very affordable, and I'm thrilled with the results. I've been tweezing and fighting chin hairs for years and I can hardly believe they're gone. I didn't really have the problems that other users complained about. Some people mentioned scaring but I didn't have that problem. Others mentioned the pain, but I used it on the 4th setting and found it to be bearable.I did have some redness and scabing, but that didn't last long. The instructions said not to use on upper lip, but I tried it anyway. It hurt way too bad to be tempted to do it again. I can live with waxing my upper lip.
