The low ratings are mostly from generally lazy people

I really don't mean to be so harsh but it is obvious there are a lot who don't have the patience with this device or are not using it properly. Someone said they use highest setting at 1 to 4 seconds. That is not an appropriate time. Follow the chart which comes with the device. Poor quality device? Get real..this is really well built. Don't come to a review because you are mad at yourself for not being able to use it properly. I think the biggest problem is that people don't use enough gel. That is the key. And make sure to follow the chart based on power settings/seconds. This is a GREAT product and am amazed something like this can be available to use at home.
Hard Work, but good

It's really tedious to use. Took a while to figure it out, but once I did it worked really well. That's why I gave it 5 stars, because it does what it says it will do. I don't recommend using it on a large area. It'll take forever and make you go cross-eyed. I used it on my upper lip and am very pleased with the results.
Used it for years and it's GREAT

I have used the VECTOR for over 6 years. I previously went to a professional for years but very expensive. So decided to investigate. After using the IGIA (terrible), I decided to try the VECTOR. Like anything you need patience but it does work. Each pore has several or more hairs but in the end the hairs do dissappear. Now my daughter has decided to use the VECTOR and she loves it. She nevered questioned the time it takes because she saw me using it. Have patience.
Soup-up your Vector electrolysis system

I was able to only get a very small charge of electricity to the hair folical using the tweezers even with the conducting gel. For less than $50, however, I purchased a holder and electrolysis needles just like the professionals use. Now on either of the two lowest settings I am getting amazing results! Without a license you can't purchase a complete system like this, but its easy to buy in separate parts.
Difficult to use, but effective

I had a really hard time with this machine at first. I called the Customer Service line and they talked me through it. It worked perfectly and I'm really happy with it now. It even worked on the very fine hair on my upper lip. I recommend it, but I recommend that you call the Customer Service line.

I bought this product after a great deal of research and I am pleased with my purchase. I followed the directions very carefully and didn't have any trouble at all. I've heard mixed reviews on this product and many people say it's hard to use, but it wasn't hard for me.

This machine took a while for me to get the hang of. It's professional machine so it's a bit tricky and takes practice. I'm very pleased with the results and would highly recommend it.

I can not for the life of me figure out why anyone would not rate this machine great. I think maybe those bad reviews do not know the proper way to use the machine. It works superior to any other thing on the market. I have tried them all. This truly is a great hair removal system. So sorry for those who did not like it.

I have to admit that at the beginning it was kind of hard to use the Vector system, but is worth to buy it. I've been using it for the last two months and the results are amazing. Great purchase.
Special Care

I, like many women, have developed an unfeminine hair or two, as I have aged. I have tried all other removal devices, available, without success, over the years. This instrument, actually works. I will advise, that there is, risk of injury. This is a clinical instrument. It requires a bit if patience, and considerable care, not to be tempted, to "Turn up," the dial, as you will, damage, your skin. So, if you are shy, and do not wish to go to a salon, and have patience, this instrument, will do, exactly, as promised.
