I've had three of this product in the last 2 years. When they work, they are fantastic.....when my hair is short or long.....but thanks to reviewer Kat, my husband took this last one apart (just before I threw it out!) and scraped it off, and Whoo Hoo!!!!!! it works again like when it was new. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm ordering a new unit to have in reserve (without rollers since I have three sets of them now!!) but it looks like this is going to work. I only have to leave them in my hair (short again now) for about 10 minutes and I have curls for days and hair that is shiny, soft and healthy.

Used one set for years now I am on the second. The rollers basically wasted away after a several years of use by me and my Mom. Hair was always shiney and undamaged. I tried to use regular hot rollers and will go back to using the caruso. I have very long thick course hair. The Caruso makes my hair look like a hair commercial. The smell eminating from the steamer, the previous person complained about, is probably just the minerals in the water.I never noticed a foul odor with mine.

I have African American/White hair and lots of it! Really, really curly and kinky. I watched a demo of this product on You Tube and purchased it from this sight. I was hopeful but did not expect it to turn out so great. I twisted each strand before rolling it and it turned out beautiful. My hair looked kind of like a wig the curls were so tight and crisp. After breaking apart the curls and lightly combing through it, it was perfect. I spraid it with hair spray (a lot) and it lasted three days. Didn't take long either. I recomend this product. Good luck. I might post a picture next time I take one.

I have hair almost down to my shoulder blades and tapered up. These are the best rollers I have ever had. It use to take me almost an hour to hot roller my hair. With-in an hour most of my curl fell out. I roll my hair up (which only takes about 10 to 15 min.) then I do what ever (dress, make-up eat, etc.) I leave them in aprox. 20 minutes to and hour. I have beautiful curls and have had numerous remarks about my pretty hair. Thanks to you. Sincerely Lulu It also holds in humid weather.

I had the original unit years ago and love it. The tricks I have for people who have fine silky hair like mine is 1) Leave the curlers in for longer than 20 minutes - I leave mine in for an hour to 2 hours. My hair is amazing all day. 2) I noticed that if I have a very light spray of hairspray in my hair. Then comb it through and put in the curlers they last for days.... This is advice from a woman who had rollers in her hair all day once and when my sister took them out for her wedding they hair was straight straight straight. 3) The no salt required unit does seem to stop working after a while, but guess what I found - add salt. I little salt and the darn thing has been steaming away. I am going to buy another one soon.

I love this hairsetter! I've been using it daily for about 2 months and I'm still amazed with the results. Granted, I do have to use a pound of gel which requires more drying time (I gently take the rollers out and blow dry each curl for 30 seconds), but it's worth it! I now have full, thick-looking hair that stays that way all day.

The Caruso hairsetter is a wonderful product. I have used them for about 20 years. If they are not working for you, than your not using them correctly!! And what difference does it make if you roll a curler in your hair one at a time or if you roll hair around a curling iron one strand at a time? The steamed rollers give you a longer laster curl. They are worth another try ladies!!

My sister had one about 10 years ago and told me I needed to try it. Best thing I ever did. Since you are using steam instead of heat it does not fry your hair and holds the curl all day. Hot rollers and curling irons burn. My hair is always shiny and bouncy. My first one quit steaming. So I threw it out. I have since found out if you take the top apart and expose the rods you can scrape them clean and it will work good as new. I searched garage sales to find another. Now I just purchased one online. Hopefully I'll always have one.

My husband has long thick hair, past his shoulders, and I love to see it in big curls. I've been searching for a way to curl his hair (that he'll put up with). I'd tried hot rollers, velcros, old-fashioned brush rollers, etc. -- either he wouldn't take the time to let them dry or they didn't produce a lasting curl. At the suggestion of a friend I finally tried the Caruso Rollers and they work beautifully! I can do his hair in rollers in about 15 mins. in the morning and he doesn't have to sit under a dryer, wear rollers in public, and so on. He now asks me to put his hair in rollers almost every day. Thank you Caruso for a great product that works equally well for men and for women!
