This straightener is by far the best one that I've used. When I used my old straightener, I could hear it breaking my hair and occasionally my hair would get stuck in between the plates and the actual straightener, and I would have to pull out my own hair! This one is absolutely silent- almost NO hair breakage at all! :) It's also incredibly sleek, because it's only an inch wide, whearas my other one was 2-3 inches wide. I love my new one also because it goes up to 450 degrees and now I can straighten my hair in half the time!!!! (and my hair is long and goes to halfway down my back!) It's awesome, and I'm 90 percent sure it's the best design out there.
best iron i've had

I bought this iron in October of 2008 but it stopped working on June7, 2009. Thank God for the one year warranty! Even though I threw out all my info, I called Folica and they gave me the information I needed to get a replacement straightener! I'm just waiting for the new one now.
soooo good

this flat iron works really. well. i have super curly, super thick hair, and it only takes me 10 minutes to completely straighten my hair. the only bad thing i could say about this flat iron is this:it wont turn on if the iron is set to a temperature under about 300 degress (not that this effects me because mines on 400)besides that, this flat iron not only beats all of my previous ones, but all of my friends flat irons. definatly worth the money!
WORKS GREAT!!! better than any others i had!!!

i just got mine today and it works way better than the chi or the kiyoseki ones. its affordable and VERY VERY VERY durable... its very light and portable... the only downside is that the stupid free pouch you get with it sucks and it doesnt really fit in the pouch. all the people who had rated this a very low or poor rating probably just had very curly thick hair or just didnt use it good enough. it goes up to 450 degrees which is GREAT. i have brown/redish hair and its VERY thick and BIGGGG but my hair has never been this strait. If your looking for a good straitener to get you NEED to get this one! <3KaceeSmith
THE BEST TO HAVE!

I am more than satisfied with this straightener! i have thick and curly hair! i used the Remington wet to straight also! it lasted me a good three years, but the problem was my hair was breaking and i was looking for something better. I was really thinking about getting the CHI but after reading the reviews about solia, i was sold. This straightener does not snag your hair, its glides smoothly! the shine lasted for the entire day and so did the pin straight hair! im in lovE! i would definetly reccomened this flat iron to anyone looking for a straightener that does the job right in half the time as your old iron!!

I had bought this flat iron and I have to say, it leaves my hair silky, and straight! I thought I had just washed my hair differently, but it was the SOLIA!!! Cute and pink, with great plates and a high temp, I highly suggest Solia. I used to have a Chi, but it smelled like rotting cow after I had straightened it, and after 4 months, I had to chop off 3 inches of hair because the stylist said it was so utterly damaged. P.S. Just because the Solia CORD breaks, you don't like it? Perhaps you set it in a bad position and/or the cord got to tangled. P.P.S REMEMBER!!!! ALL STRAIGHTENERS DAMAGE!!! This one, not AS bad, but PLEASE PLEASE buy a flat iron heat protection balm/spray. I don't want hair being chopped off becuz of damage. :) ANYWAY, Solia leaves hair at Straight as Straight, silky smooth, and wonderful.
GREAT PURCHASE!!!

Okay, so I was blessed enough to win this iron while following @folica on Twitter. Although I was super excited about it, I didn't have to worry about writing an objective review because this iron is fabulous! Pros: Heats up super quickly ( < 30 seconds ); love the color, so girly; never pulls hair; straightens perfectly in two swipes; no crispy, fried ends; long cord. Cons: None so far! This iron is absolutely wonderful! I have super unruly, natural curls that are high maintenance. I love straightening my hair, and with this iron, it *stays* straight! It will kink up if I'm caught in the rain, but otherwise it won't curl again until I shampoo it. Thank you Soila & Folica for this great gift! PS: Products are just as important as your iron! If your hair won't stay straight in humidity, try using a different or better product(s) geared toward anti-humidity.
wonderful!

I recently bought this solia flat iron to replace a Chi I had previously that was getting pretty old. I must say, it is MUCH better. My hair is mildly curly and very fine, so straightening was never the issue... but shine was. The tourmaline in this flat iron leaves my hair looking totally shiny and beautiful. Also, my hair has been lifted about 6 or 7 levels and most flat irons make it look dry... This one did a beautiful job. At this price, you simply can't beat it. See picture below:
