Great product

I read a lot of reviews before I bought my first "expensive" flat iron. I was leary even after reading the reviews but the Solia made a believer out of me. After having a straightening perm for the last 30 years I let my natural hair grow out because I was starting to thin. This flat iron straightens my hair and gives it a beautiful silky sheen. I dropped it recently and one of the plates came out, but to my surprise I was able to slide it back in place and it still works. I'm thinking of purchasing another to have just in case. The free heat stand that came with it comes in very handy too.
The BEST flat iron I've ever used!

Leaves my hair as if I just came out of the salon! Great product and would recommend to anyone. My hair is curly, thick and long- this flat made the process of straightening my hair easier and faster. I've been an owner of many flat irons but this has to be the best. If your hair is like mine, I recommend the 1 1/4" because it is bigger and will be faster to do hair.
love it

I've had access to over four-thousand user reviews, and viewed over hundreds of actual before and after photos, all related to the Solia 1.25 Flat Iron.. I have to say that if your hair remains frizzy and dull after.. it's because you're not using heat protectant spray; period. You may not have shine depending on something else, but the only thing that protects your hair from damage is the heat protectant sprays out there. While these products can work well; learning from my research and trust me.. my all too limited use lol.. One thing I will say is that you CANNOT believe any advertisement that states that their flat iron is heat protectant; especially for those that are either ceramic or ceramic and tourmaline; you still need heat protectant! I talked with three top-end hair specialists on-site in one day, and then had a previous appointment to have my hair cut for that same day later in the evening. After that still I spent hours upon hours cross-referencing facts through technical data, user reviews, function, and price. There is one commonality in use and care that needs to be applied with every single flat iron and use - heat protectant spray. I'll tell you that the first time it was tried on me in one day.. no heat protectant was used, and though I didn't know much about these things I still tried it. My hair was 100% different than it had been since I was about six years old; straight, soft, and shiny then. Over the years I tried many things - like many others, but not a lot; it just never seemed to work; nothing and not beauticians. Then the second and third times that day I used it with heat protectant spray, and the third time my hair was completely done from the beginning to end. My hair was magazine, television, or movie ready.. and no other products were used. When I was real young - like six years old - my hair was entirely straight but with that kind of softness that makes it look more full than flat bone straight hair. Then when I was about twelve my hair began to change into thicker wavy hair, and in early adulthood I learned I had hypothyroidism; which, many women know.. can create brittle hair in its dysfunction and even after synthroids nothing is nearly it should be.. so since I was in my early twenties... oh my hair only looked good when I went to my boyfriend's best friend's salon, but the one thing it never was soft. I tried a lot of the serums, and things, for shine already along time ago and they all looked more like a whole lotta grease than shine; even with very small amounts applied, they were heavy on the hair, some were sticky, hands always messy, and for a whole lotta nothing that I wanted those products were, and are, vastly overpriced; a lot that many people mention now and think they are great; I think, too, a good many people confuse shine and grease, so when an equally good number of people are saying it's greasy it most likely is. My hair without the miraculous use of a flat iron and heat protectant spray alone is: dull, a soft matted dry when blown straight with a wide tooth comb, frizzy fly a-ways all over from head to ends - about twenty inches of hair or so, and bangs and all every end was thick and frizzy, so much so that my hair was like smooth matted chunks (except for the 20 of fly-a-ways). A good choice I have summarized from my vast research is to have a couple to few hair-do's you like so you don't feel the need to use a flat iron daily; wear your hair lightly combed and down the day after; the day after that (on the third day) where your hair up and do something with your bangs, and then on the fourth day wash your hair and start over if you want; always using heat protectant spray! I do believe that if one follows this they will never have damaged hair from the use of a flat iron. Another thing I learned.. is pricing, quality, and durability.. pricing largely reflects on the amount of features you want, and if you think about it.. all ceramic or all ceramic tourmaline irons are the same technology and materials, so really once you find one that you believe is most suitable for yourself it really comes down to the warranty and most certainly the user reviews on durability and results. The same technologies will give you the same results, but knowing the good companies from the weak one's is key. They will provide a good warranty, a much more solid product (not flimsy and prone to breaking down), good customer service (no run-arounds), and they will provide a reasonable price as well, etc. Even more to be able to view hundreds upon hundreds of REAL before and afters is great, too. I also viewed hundreds upon hundreds of before and afters for the Sedu.. and there were so many befores that actually looked better than the afters.. and a great percentage from them all had me saying, "I get that with blow-drying my hair and that's your flat iron!" A few here and there looked really good, but I imagine they had non-frizzy hair to begin with and just used it to straighten. Well anyway.. Im going to return here periodically after Ive used my first flat iron to give updates and reviews of all my experiences with the product, and the company I choose to purchase it from. My Four star rating means nothing because I haven't yet purchased or used this product, but I don't want to leave a less than acceptable rating and appear false in that, so I'm kind of stuck, and since my research led me to this product I'm at least confident in that.
This straightner is great!!!!

Alright, i have had like 3 chi's already they usually break in 6 monthes, so my thought I should try a different brand, and i got this and it straghttens great ! my hair is like wavy and fluffy, but it still got the job done like in 10 minutes. im so happy with this product, it's definatly worth the money, plus you get a warranty, and like these heat protecting spray! i recommend it!
