I am already a fan of hot tools curling irons, but this item really sold me. I recently purchased just the regular gold plated spring hot tools curling iron and it worked great. I then decided to try this one in the one inch barrell size. It created wonderful, lasting curls very quickly. I normally hold the curling iron on my hair for at least 45 seconds on each piece because my hair is so stick straight. I probably held it with this iron for only about 15 seconds. My hair was full of beautiful curls in about 20 minutes and I have medium length hair. It usually takes about 40 minutes. My curls have also lasted for approximately 8 or 9 hours. LOVE this!
