I have had this straightening iron for 5 or 6 years now and I use it every other day. It finally quit on me this morning but it survived a lot of abuse. I've traveled all over with it, left the house with it on for a couple of hours(oops!), it's fallen off of the bathroom couter and much more. It always heated up in less than a minute and would straighten my hair in about 5 mins.I can't say enough good stuff about it. I read a lot of reviews and some people complained that it would randomly die. All I have to say in that regaurd is that the more expensive a product is, the more they test for quality control. (i.e. Maybe Chi tests 30 out of every products where as Jilbere tests 5 or 10 out of every 100.). Therefore, if you purchased a Jilbere that quit on you, you shouldn't give up on the brand. Just bring it back for a new one....maybe yours was a dud.

I HAVE LONG BLACK THICK HAIR AND WAVY BECAUSE I LIVE IN MIAMI,FL... EVERYONES HAIR GETS DAMAGED OR CHANGES AUTOMATICALLY HERE! I ALWAYS SPENT MONEY WITH WALGREEN'S AND TARGET'S FLAT IRONS LIKE CONAIR. ANYWAYS, ONE DAY I WENT TO MY FRIENDS HOUSE TO CHILL WITH THE CREW AND MY HAIR WAS JUST WASHED AND SOFT AND FRIZZY. MY FRIEND DECIDED TO FLAT IRON MY HAIR AND MY HAIR ENDED UP BEAUTIFUL AND STRAIGHT FOR A WEEK BUT THEN I WASHED IT OF COURSE. LOL BUT YEA, I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS IRON AND I JUST HAD TO GET IT. SO FAR IT'S WORTH IT! I DO RECOMMEND IT TO THE PEOPLE THAT DO NOT MAL-TREAT THEY'RE IRON. IT'S NOT ONE OF MY REGRETS AT ALL. DOES NOT PULL HAIR AND MATTER OF FACT MAKES IT EVEN LOOK HEALTHIER THAN IT IS AND DOES NOT CAUSE SPLIT ENDS, ONLY IF YOU DO NOT DO IT EVERYDAY. TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAIR BREAKS DO NOT ALWAYS BLAME THE IRON. LOOK AT WHERE U LIVE, YOUR NUTRITION AND VITAMINS MISSING, AND WEATHER AND ETC! AND FOR THE PEOPLE WITH THIN HAIR DON'T DO IT EVERYDAY. ANY IRON THAT IS USED ON DAILY BASIS CAN SPLIT AND DAMAGE HAIR AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. BUT AS FAR AS THIS, IT'S WORTH THE MONEY AND THE RESULTS =) IF YOU HAVE LONG HAIR, JUST HAVE PATIENCE AND TIME. BECAUSE IN THE END YOU'LL LIKE THE RESULTS TRUST ME! PEOPLE WITH REAL CURLY HAIR SHOULD HAIR DRY THEY'RE HAIR WITH A BLOWER/DRYER AND THEN PASS THE IRON AFTER HOURS AND THEN YOU'LL GET RESULTS. I'VE TRIED IT WITH ALL MY FRIENDS AND WE ALL END UP WITH THE SAME RESULTS AND WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT HAIR TYPES ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT. I DO RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

I have tried the expensive flat irons that cost over $100, and nothing comes close to this product!!! With the others i would have to go over the same piece of hair several times. This is the best i've used thus far, i'm a cosmetologist and i mostly work with natural african american hair. when i use it on my clients people think that i gave them a relaxer when i just used this flat iron. the problem is i have only found it in NY for about $35.00. So i would have to travel to get it now I see I can order it from here great!!!! Bottom line this is the best flat iron if you want true results. Now I will say this I've been using the product sence about 2004 and I have purchased about three so far, but that was because it has been droped a couple of times and I didnt keep the reciept to turn it in for the warrenty but over all I will recommend this to any and everyone who lives to have bone straight hair. Many people dont know how to use these producets right which cause breakage or hair being dry, but with the proper knowledge this is great product period, I've used the CHI flat iron & it has nothing on the Ceramic Tools flat iron at all. I LOVE IT!, I LOVE IT!!, I LOVE IT!!!

I am african american and Ive spent lots of money on flat irons that end up not working...this one is just great it really works for my hair type. I recommend this product to anyone.

I HAVE TRIED ALOT OF STRAIGHTENERS BUT AFTER USING THE ALEXIS PRO MY HAIR WAS STRAIGHTER AND NOT FRIZZY AT ALL. I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO USE ANY KIND OF PRODUCT TO PUT IN MY HAIR BEFORE I USED THE STRAIGHTENER. I HAVE EVEN TAKEN A SHOWER AND THE MOISTURE DIDN'T EVEN MAKE MY HAIR FRIZZY. IT'S GREAT!!!

I don't know what everyone is talking about when they say that theirs breaks often... i got mine for christmas my freshman year in highschool, and it JUST broke (I'm a freshman in college now, and it's thanksgiving). I straighten my hair at least 5 days of the week, and all I can say, is i loved all 5 years of straightening my hair with this. Even my friends would periodically steal if from me to use it (and mmy roommate at college used it just as much as I did!) My hair becomes soft, and nonfrizzy. I absolutely love it. I would recommend this product to anyone.

This straigher is really great. Ive had one for about 2 years and it is used every day- i just recently replaced it becuase the plates were turning brown because it can go up to such a high heat setting-which i always used. Its really light weight, and can get close to your roots so your hair doesnt have clamp marks. ITs also a great price!

i am 21 years old and i have always had unmanagable frizzy hair, nothing has worked, not even chemical straightening. Ceramic tools in absolutely amazing, my hair doesnt even get frizzy when it is humid, i wish i had a picture.

I use the ceramic flat iron once every three days. It is small affordable and very effective on my hair.
