Sorry to here about problems with the beard product. The product for the hair on your head is great. Awesome love it. I have used this product for seven years now. The only problem I have is finding my shade "light sandy blonde". When I do find it I buy the whole stash 5,6,7 whatever. My wife spends $200 and 2 hrs a pop at her salon and hates that I can get great color in five minutes for $10. I can't beleive these products are rated so poorly. Best of luck I tried the permanant color in a chair for 45 min for $80. Not for me.

Perfect Coloring for Men

This stuff is so perfect, it is undetectable from natural color. Admittedly, application is somewhat inconvenient. A fine lady friend (wife in my case) can apply it in less than 5 minutes with no hitches. Care must be taken to remove it from your skin quickly, (soaped tissue or Q-tip) to prevent dying of the area, but this can be done easily. Masking skin areas like the ear tops or hairline borders with Vasoline also prevents skin dying, but is not really required, so long as you carefully apply and review the areas afterward. Use the brush to apply in border areas, stroking into the hair from the border. Let it stay on for about 5 minutes then shampoo off and treat it like usual from there. I have used it for over 5 years! Another tip-> Mix ONLY half each of the two part liquids, (unless you have alot more hair than me) and stretch each box to do 2 colorings! Just so long as you do not mix the two together until you are coloring, they will keep. Also, in between touch-ups can easily be accomplished using small equal amounts of the two parts. Mix up and apply to border areas with the brush. As i said, no one knows your hair is colored unless you tell them!
I'm now under my GP for itching scalp & forehead

I used Just For Men for many years with no problems. However, since they changed the 'Developer' to a gel, my hair and forehead burns and itches for weeks after each application. When I visited my G.P about this I didn't admit to using a hair colourant, so maybe she didn't have all the necessary facts. Last time I used it, I took the precaution of smearing Vaseline over my forehead in the hope it would prevent the product touching it. Unfortunately this did not work and friends immediately commented on the state of my forehead. They didn't know how much the whole of my scalp was itching and keeping me awake at night. Thank goodness for a website such as this as I would never have known this was a widespread problem. Like every other contributor, I've never seen any comment from the company about the change of formula and they must surely know about the problem by now. Is their Managing Director stupid, or something, or do they sell so much of it they couldn't care less? I noticing that several other users had complained they'd seen no adverse reports from the manufacturers, I emailed them with my experience. Give them their due, they replied within an hour and quite simply they said 'Stop using Just For Men.' So there you have it from the horse's mouth. Don't want to go back to being grey, but what is one supposed to do?

Iv used just for men as an when I feel the grey hair shows. I normally leave it on for about 8 mins. The grey just goes! I have medium brown hair and for £5 its real value for money and it works for me!
For beards product is great, but...

A couple things to remember: 1)My stylist recommended a shade lighter than my natural growth, which is mostly black. However, most guys will find their beard is really made up of several different shades of whiskers (got some red in mine). Going lighter allows your won variations (if you're not totally Santa-bearded) show through for a more natural look. 2) A buddy of mine with a really thick beard dyed his and then trimmed it. Wrong! Unless you really work that stuff in, you may miss the whiskers underneath...which he did. The effect was, uh, interesting! Trim first, then dye. 3) I only ever got a week out of an application before fading. 4) I used it for two years with no problems, and THEN developed allergies to the dye. Realize that reactions often develop over time with repeated exposures. For me, the result was red, itching skin...I ended up shaving off my beard, and it still took days and hydracortisone to clear it up. Do the patch test...and not just the first time you use the product. Do it every time!
works fine for me but...

been using it for 3 years and works very well for me but: - is messy..you have to use the gloves and be extremely careful not to spil a drop or the stains are just impossible to remove..otherwise the whole thing takes no more than 10 minutes (including 5 minutes wait time) - if it trickles on your skin you better stay at home for couple of days...use vasoline on ears and neck and skin near your hair before you apply..it helps - as your hair grows..white hair starts howing on the sideburns
Works well but color fades in two weeks !!!

Esay to apply and covers white hair fairly well. The one thing that I don't like is that I have to do it every two weeks ! Any suggestions to make it ast longer ?
It works but watch out for allergic reaction

I liked the product for the most part. Easy to apply and worked well. One application lasted about 2 weeks for my goatee, but never really took care of the really gray hairs. After using it for about six months, i developed a skin irritation which lasted for days. Caused intense itching, i actually used dandruff items and bactine, to relieve the irritation. About 3 weeks later, i started developing small bumps on my arm, which really itched. It spread throughout my upper body, with a couple on my legs. Went to dermatoligist then allergist. After multiple tests, i found i was allergic to the dye in this product, which is para-Phenylenediamine. I still have it, it has lessened, but still itching each day. Doctor says it may take 2-3 months for it to clear out of the body. Look over the directions in the product, it specifically states that some may develop an allergic reaction to this, even after using it for some time.
Not on shelves in Georgia

I have also had trouble finding the Natural Sandy Blonde color on the shelves of ANY store in middle GA. The other colors tend to over darken my naturally light hair. Also the Beard and mustache color are almost non-existant. Maybe Grecian can help my Gray!
