This is my second one of this model. Bought the first one for my daughter after she had done extensive research on flat irons. She loves it and I liked it so much that I bought another one for myself. I had purchased a much pricer one from the mall that was supposed to be good, it wasn't! If you are looking for an awesome iron then look no further. It works on thick hair, fine hair, its the best! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED......

the sedu was the best investment. i have damaged hair when i use the sedu it gives it the shine that it was sooo lacking. i only have 2 run it through once which saves alot of time . i give this 5 stars!!!

This is a great flat iron!! I most recently had the Bespoke flatiron which worked really well. Having said that, this is even better! My hair looks so shiny, and the iron glides over your hair making is smooth and healthy looking. Would definitely recommend this item!

For those of you who were not too impressed with the results the Sedu gave you. First question, if you have coarse, dense curly hair, when using a flat iron are you spraying your hair with a good hold heat protected spray? Secondly, are you taking small enough sections when flat ironing? These two things are very important in order to get the results you want. By using a heat protecting spray with a medium to firm hold, you preserve the condition of the hair AND with the heat from the flat iron being the catalyst, you preserve the style--to keep it from reverting back to curly (same principle when you use a spray starch when ironing wrinkles out of clothing.) The use of the heat alone WILL NOT work with any flat iron--you must use a flat iron spray! Makes sense.) If you take too thick of a section of hair when flat ironing, your not getting the heat distributed evenly--only the hair against the top and the bottom plate will get ironed--the hair in the middle will be missed and revert to curl. Remember, if you don't use the tool properly, it won't provide you with the results you expect.
Sedu vs GHD

I purchased this Sedu 6 months ago and i am really impressed by the results, i have fairly straight hair with slightly waves in it, what i really liked most about the Sedu that it has a heat settings unlike the GHD.the maximum heat that the Sedu can reach is (450 F) where the GHD can only reaches (350 F). I got the GHD as gift and i used to see what all the buzz about this flat iron, it worked well for my hair BUT i definately recommend the Sedu for people with thicker, curlier, coarser than i am. unless you dont mind spending double the time straightening your hair. I want to buy my sister a hair straightner and it will definately be the SEDU 1.5 inch plate because she has longer, thicker and more curlier haid than i do.

I just tried out the SEDU flat iron and I absolutely love it. I previously had the FHI which I thought was pretty good but I love the SEDU. I have AA natural hair (no relaxer) and this got my hair super straight in addition with Maxius Beyond Straight product. This is perfect for Ethnic hair!

I love love this iron aswell as the other sedu flat iron that I bought 2 years ago. These are great for your hair leaves your hair smooth silky and shiney with no damage.

I absolutely LOVE this flat iron! I have really frizzy/curly hair and with this flat iron I can straighten it in no-time! I especially love using it to barrel curl my hair!

This flat iron is great for everyday use - it has lasted me a long time. I used to have the Solia which is, in my opinion, just as good as the Sedu. But greatest thing about the Sedu (and is the reason I bought it) is because of the options it gives you. The desgin makes is super great for curling, waving, or straightening your hair. Excellent results with a lot of shine! It's heat up time is slower than other flat irons I've had but absolutely do not let that stop you. I hope this helps and good luck shopping!
