I love this product! It is much better then the other two I had before - when it would hurt like hell and I had to do one leg one night and do the other one next night! Now I can do both legs right away, it does not hurt at all, I could not believe it when I tried it for the first time. I was so happy, I wanted to call everybody and tell them right away :) But really, this is a very good product, I am happy I brought it.
The BEST so far !!!!

I have tried everything to get rid of hair, shaving (only lasted 2 days), creams, and waxing ( witch i've been sticking with for about a year and a half now) but it's really messy and it takes me at least 3 hours to do it by myslef. i have bought the Braun X'elle thinking this might be the right solution for me and trust me it is !!! It works very well and rips out all of the fine hair the waxing leaves behind. yes it hurts a little bit, but not more than waxing. Very good value !!!
Forget Shaving!

I hate having to shave. I've been looking for a solution for a long time to remove underarm and leg hair. I bought this epilator after reading reviews on most models on the market. The first two times were painful, especially on my leg where I have nerve damage. It was comparable to a bikini wax. There was some redness and irritation the first few times. After the irritation went away, I was left with smooth legs. There will still be some little hairs because hair grows in cycles. If you want it really smooth, use a razor to go over and rough areas. I stopped for awhile and am picking up again, and I use it once a week. Any longer and I have to trim the hair in order to use the epilator. I would recommend not using the beginner head after the first couple tries. It's much faster & less painful to use the efficiency head after you get used to the process. Also, try to keep skin taught to cut down on pain and irritation. Try using some soothing lotion and/or an ice pack on any irritation so speed up the healing process. Make sure to take the epilator apart after using and clean it as well as you can. I use the little brush to clean out stray hairs, and then wipe the plastic parts down with rubbing alcohol.
Now i can save money :)

I come from a Mediterranean country and we all know that around this part of the world women are darker than the rest europe!!!Since ever i've been pro waxing and photolysis spending a fortune... Legs 20euro every month and that is because i need to let the hair all grown out in order to use photolysis 100euro and get a decent result which unfortunately during sumer aint happening since the hot weather causes irritations. Apart that i've been missing out on a lot of tanning :P Arms every 15 days 10euro face every 15 days 10euro and photolysis 50euro and eyebrow shaping 5euro every week. So u see i spent my entire life in beauty salons :SSS The epil X'elle was the best gift i got for my self in a while! Even if it hurts for a person with a scheduled appointment each week for waxing for the past 10 years or so...trust me aint that bad! Especialy when i did my underarm, personally i felt a lot less pain than when waxing but it needs caution and patience cause it still hurts! Also my legs even with waxing and photolysis never did look as shiny and smooth without those ugly red pores as when i used B.epilator. Never owned an epilator before so i had a good research around the market first and decided that Braun is a trusted brand and this model had lots of extras. I received all the extras facial head(thin), underarm head, shaver, minimize pain head, facial wipes and the cooling pack and glove all for 118euro! Well done Braun Highly recommended just next one make it noiseless :PPP Two thumbs up!!!

If you want to rip hair out by the root, it's going to hurt! I have found epilating does hurt a bit more than waxing, but after the first time, it hurts less and less because there is less hair re-growth. I used it for the first time when I went on vacation and did not want to bother with shaving on my trip. It worked wonderfully, and hair did not start to come back for at lest 2-3 weeks. Some tips I had found with using this product: exfoliate before using, place a cold ice pack on area before removing hair, apply peroxide and cortizone to skin afterward to decrease swelling, and lastly, it is a bit of a slow process, be patient! It does irritate the skin, just like waxing, so give it a day and your skin will feel so smooth!
Dream come true!!!!

This product is awesome! I've only used it for a week and except for the Emoji Tweeze, i haven't used any other epilators, but its great! It removes hair and whereas with waxing (proffessional waxing) it took only days for hair in some areas to grow back, with this, my skin is still silky smooth...and of course when hair does show up, i can easily remove it again, not pay $100 to have it waxed again. Don't kid yourself, it does hurt...if you are looking for an epilator that actually pulls out your hair, it WILL hurt!!!Nature of the beast I'm afraid. The great thing though (and it hurts BAD the first time) the more you use it the less it hurts, because your hair follicles get accustomed to it. I recommend starting with the starter head, it has less tweezers...I know tough for the impatient, but it gets your skin used to the tweexing so that you can switch to the regular head and it will be bearable to use. This thing does pinch if the skin is not tight enough. one of the areas on my thigh where the skin was very thin got pinched...just be careful and keep the skin tight. DO NOT use it on the extremely delicate areas down there, this thing is too strong! If you want to do a home made brazillian...trim..carefully...and then use an Emoji Tweeze...much safer! for everything else, this product is a dream come true!

I've tried a few methods: shaving (only lasted 3 days for me), waxing (messy & always painful), depilating (stinky! & paranoia about getting chemicals all over the bathroom), individual tweezing(who has the time?). Using this epilator has been the best by far. I read that waxing your hair before using it for the first time saves you some pain, but I was so excited to try it that I just went for it. The first time did hurt badly because I was using Veet before this, so my roots were pretty established and strong. It's definitely not the most painful thing you'll ever experience in your life, and after the first few times it will barely bother you. The results are well worth it! Once you get used to the pulling/tweezing, the little massaging rollers really make it more comfortable and nice to use. It's also very noisy, but I don't think quiet epilators exist.
awesome

i love epilating! seriously! so much better than shaving or waxing! the Braun Silk Epil X'elle Body Epilation System did hurt the first time i used it, but i now im used to it and my hair has become softer and thinner and much less then there once was. im still not brave enough to use on bikini line because it does hurt, but epilating i would recommend to anyone for legs, definately! can be done in privacy of own home, easy, no mess, no waiting with hairy legs! fantastic!
Hair no more

I wrote a review January 23, 2008 and I have a picture of the results of my new Braun. I love the way it leaves my skin so smooth. This is a great product

I had been thinking about buying an epilator for a while, ever since my European boyfriend told me about them. Apparently they are very popular over there. I had never used one before, but I'd become tired of shaving my legs all the time and having coarse stubble. I did some research and I waxed my legs before I tried the epilator. I really like the look and feel of this silk-epil. It is quite ergonomic and the light does come in handy. I think it's a great value for the price, and it includes the other heads and a little bag to keep it all together. I did try my bikini area, but it really did hurt so I'm thinking about buying some lidocaine spray. I get bikini waxes regularly, but since this isn't as quick as waxing, I hesitated. Also a bit scared to try on my underarms, but eventually I want to get to the point where I never shave again. I love this!
