I have hair that's REALLY thick, really dense, and really bushy, so it's hard to style. I don't normally straighten it, but I bought this flat-iron to help make it look less bulky. It does the job perfectly. It makes my hair straight, but not that awful fake-looking straight you see. It looks like I've blown it out, and it's soft and SO manageable. It really does the job, and though I'm still getting around the learning curve, I'm really pleased with my purchase!

Hi received my limited edition Solia(pink) flat iron last week. For the past week I have been trying it out so I could write a good review and honest review!!! First let me tell you I have tried MANY different flat irons. I currently have Sedu(one not with adjustable plates), chi, and the supersolano. I must say this Solia is by far the best one out of those three. I use my flat iorn to curl my hair not straighten. So this is basically for the curling aspect of it. There are so many pluses. It gets super hot. I put it to the highest the temp can go which is like 450degrees(I may be a little off on the temp but I put it to the highest) since my hair is very hard to curl. I love the fact that the plates move. This makes it so much easier and just a nicer curl since the plates move with the direction you're going. I also like that the shape of the iron. It has rounded edges so it makes the curl fabulous. This iron has a great texture for an easy grip...doesn't slide!! Of course an absolute PLUS is it comes with a two year warranty.....WHAT?? that's right a two year warranty!!!! So if in like a year my iron doesn't heat up as well I can exchange it for a new one...NOT a one year warranty but YES a two year warranty!!! Can you ask for anything more?????????????? I am so happy with this flat iron!! I did my research on a few and it was between this Solia limited edition and the Hai and I'm so happy I went with the Solia. The Hai may also be good but for me this is doing the job just fine!!!!!!!!! No complaints!! the only thing is alot of people say they get there order in like 3-4 days well I didn't get mine for like a week in a half to two weeks...but that's probably because I'm in Cali and it ships from New Jersey so that was expected. Would definitely recommend!!!!

I HAVE USED JUST ABOUT ALL THERE IS SOLIA IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST MY HAIR STAYS STRAIGHT AND IT'S SHINY I WASTED SO MUCH MONEY BUYING THE DEPT. STORE BRANDS NO MORE WITH THE WARRANTY YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE AND IT'S PINK!!! NO EFFORT IT DOES ALL THE WORK AND IT DOES'NT PULL YOUR HAIR GIVE IT A TRY YOU WON'T BE SORRY

This is the best iron I've ever used...and I knows my way around flat irons! I have medium curly hair (thing Mirrah Carey circa 1991)and this iron works awazingly well. I got this iron after trying a Croc infrared iron that was nearly 2x the price. The Croc snagged my hair, didn't get it completely straight and didn't do well when I tried to make curls b/c of it's flat plates. This iron did all those things perfectly. I needed a new flat iron b/c my well loved and over used Sedu iron bit the dust recently. I am glad a switch from Sedu. The Sedu worked well, but this is superior.

I love this flat iron. I have natural hair which is very wavy and it made my hair silky straight and shiny. This flat iron is better than any other I have ever had and on top of that it's cute. Well worth the price!

I didn't have any expectations for this, considering this is the first professional hair tool that I have ever bought. I didn't think there would be a difference between this and the ones you could pick up at a drugstore. Wrong! I was amazed. I have straight hair but my solia makes it pin-straight and super smooth! It's also great for creating waves and curls. Annddd, it's pink so I had to have it (it matches with my new Elchim hairdryer and jilbere de paris curling iron!! XD) Five stars!

I have been straightening my hair for 11 years. I started with numerous hot tools straighteners that damaged my hair and continuously found myself needing to buy a new one every 2 months. I bought my solia straightener during the fall of 2006 and it still works amazingly. It will straighten your hair while leaving body and volume and when desired it will leave your hair pin straight. Still at a decent price, it is hands down the best straightener that I have ever own.

I've had my flat iron for over two years and it still works great...no problems at all! My hair is amazingly straight and holds the style all day, even on humid days...doesn't snag the hair either...gets extremely hot! great product, would definitely buy again!

I just received my flat iron last week. I just want to say that this was the best purchase I've ever made when it comes to flat irons!!!!! I love this flat iron, it really straightens my thick hair to a nice silky sheen. I'm mixed with naturally thick curly/wavy hair. I do relax my hair but I've never had such nice silky straight hair after using a flat iron. It keeps my hair straight for days!!! I would recommend this flat iron. You won't be disappointed. The plus is that some of the proceeds went to breast cancer research...

I got this iron a little over a year ago from Folica, who deilivered it super quickly by the way, and I love it! my hair isn't ridiculously curly but it can be a pain to straighten sometimes, but this iron gets the job done perfectly! My sister does have really curly hair and I got her hair pin straight without any product, it was amazing! My hair stays straight, shiny and smooth, without damage! The only little thing it that it gets pretty dirty after sitting in the heat-protecting case for a while, so cleaning is a must! Other than that I really don't think I would use another iron, oh and it's pink! What else could you ask for!?
