I have natural African American hair and I use a tiny bit of this for the straightening process of my hair. My hair has had a significant difference in texture and shine since I used this. It seems to add moisture without giving my hair the look of being greased down. The only downfall is that my hair gets kinky again as soon as I sweat. Only the beauty shop has been able to get my hair to remain straight even after I sweat. But overall this is the best stuff I have used so far.

Strangely enough, I thought it would be sticky, but it wasn't at all. I put a bit on while my hair was still just short of dripping wet and by the time I finished blow-drying, I didn't feel any stickiness whatsoever. My hair is naturally pretty dry and too poofy and this product helped a lot. I don't usually put too much effort on styling my hair, so I'm not sure how well this works for styling, but my hair was definitely smoother.
