I recently just purchased my CHI from folica.com. The day after I got my CHI I couldn't wait to use it that day all my friends where complementing me on how gorgeous and soft my hair was. Eager to find out my secrets I just said it was the CHI! They were thrilled to buy one!! We have the best looking hair!

I have thick full coarse curly hair. I have tried other hair straighteners, but the day I learned about Chi I threw out all my other styling tools. Over the past few years I've had extremely long hair and extremely short hair. No matter the length or style I had the 1" Chi always gave me salon results. Since using my Chi I have experienced far less damage to my hair and longer lasting results. I have been using the same Chi Original 1" Flat Iron for over 3 years and have never had any issues. And I am not gentle with it by any means. It's still just as hot and effective as the first time I used it. I'll never buy another flat iron!

Chi vs Solia

I first ordered the Solia (it had higher ratings on folica.com) but immediately returned and exchanged it for the CHI. My roommate has the CHI and it leaves my hair soft and shiny, whereas the Solia left it the same texture and even a bit dry. I think the CHI is definitely higher quality, they don't need to advertise much because of the high word-of-mouth publicity. If you're deciding between the two, go for the CHI (or else you'll have to pay $15 shipping to exchange).

Have had other hair straighteners, but nothing comes close to the Chi. Quickly heats up and does a fabulous job.

My hairstylist use this flat iron so I was glad when I found it at folica.com. NO COMPLAIN it is an excellent flat iron and I have relaxed hair. My hair is straight and soft.
