thick, coarse, frizzy hispanic hair

Funny story: I was living in Ireland for a few months and one of my Irish friends whipped this out to do her hair. She said "maybe you should try it". I giggled to myself and thought: there is NO WAY a straightener that worked on Irish hair is going to work on MY hair! Hair dresssers run from me when i go to the salon. Well...lo and behold I fell in love! I straightened my hair in HALF the time than my other $200 straighteners and like others have said, it stays straight, even in humid conditions. I ran out and bought one on my own (250 EURO!) and it's still the best money i ever spent! (I'm home now, in the states and the Dual voltage is AWESOME!)

If I had to have only one hair product for the rest of my life this would have to be it. The first time I used it I was so impressed. It makes my hair stick straight, goes through like a hot knife through butter (no snags whatsoever), heats up super quick, and makes my hair so soft and shiny. My friend has a CHI and I was going to buy one but luckily I went with GHD and it's so much better. Now she wants one too. It's expensive but it's worth it. Folica is awesome btw. Best place to get one. It's authentic and great prices with free shipping.

I recently just purchased this straightener after my Solia one died(lasted me 2 years). The solia was good.. but it wasn't GREAT. Since there's so much rave about the GHD my bf decided to buy this one for me. I LOVE IT SO FAR.. it makes my hair SO SOFT. I can't stop touching it!!! I hope it'll last me a couple of years.

I have used the Sedu and then went to the Chi styling iron which I have been using for several years now. My hair stylist used this on my naturally curly hair and I liked it so much that I bought one for myself. My hair stays straight for a longer period of time and unlike other irons I have used, it slides through the hair so easily. This is definately worth the money!

This is absolutely the best hair straightener i have EVER owned. I have tried everything over the years from hot tools to chi (and let me tell you chi was so disappointing and ended up breaking after the warranty let up). So I bought my ghd straighter when i lived in the ridiculously humid climate of Florida, and for the first time, when i walked outside, my hair didnt friz! even when it rains my hair was smooth. I have had my ghd for about 3 years and it works great and my hair is fabulous. I can even curl my hair really well with it (ask your hairdresser how to do this if you dont know) so i dont even need a curler! Best freakin investment ever!

I bought one of these in 220 for overseas use. It is amazing! No frizzies and the straightest hair results you can imagine. They are worth the price! My daughter visited from the states and she couldn't believe the difference in her hair after using my GHD. She has another nice name brand straightener and was wishing she had this one. Now it is in the states I will have to suggest she pick one up from Folica.

I HAVE NATURALLY CURLY HAIR. I'VE HAD A CHI FOR 6 YEARS AND IT GOT THE JOB DONE, BUT I NEEDED A NEW FLAT IRON AND DECIDED ON THIS ONE AND I'M GLAD I DID. IT NOT ONLY CUT THE TIME IN HALF TO DO MY HAIR BUT MY HAIR STAYS BOARD STRAIGHT ALL DAY LONG. EVEN STICKING MY HAIR BEHIND MY EAR DOESNT MAKE MY HAIR FLIP. NOTHING BUT WATER CAN MAKE MY HAIR CURL AFTER I USE THIS FLAT IRON.

What can I say.....it's the absolute best. I have had thick natural wavy/curly hair all my life. I have tried other straighteners in the past (the kind you get at Wal Mart or sally's), but the GHD straightener puts all others to shame. I can actually have smooth straight hair now. I LOVE this product.

Ghd's are by far the best straightening irons ever. I'm from England and had GHD's there, then moved to Canada and brought a CHI as i heard that was the best around here, but missed my GHDs too much so swapped back. I have very thick curly hair and these are the only straighteners to curl or straighten my hair leaving it perfectly styled and shiny. Definately a must have product and worth the cost.

I heard so much on youtube about it, and watching how beautifully it straightened, I had to try it. I used to have a chi, and this tops it by so much. When I straighten my hair, it doesn't look burnt or how it usually looks when I straighten it. My hair looked glossy, and beautiful, and that it was simple naturally straight. It heats up SO quickly that I dont even have enough time to put heat protectant in. I mean like, 10 seconds. The beeping is cute too. I don't know how many times I left my chi on at home, and was worring about it the rest of my day. This turns its self off. It only takes one go at straightening a peice of hair. Perfectly straight after one go over. I swear by this.
